Pride Of Scotland Winner

On Monday 20th June 2024, Lochlan along with Lesley, his dad Scott, Papa Alastair, Trustees Shona Shankland and husband Alistair, Gemma and Irene Milligan and volunteers Holly Duffy and Amy McCulloch attended Pride Of Scotland Awards which were held in the fantastic Glasgow Hilton.

Lochlan WON Teenager of Courage, being recognised for all his efforts raising awareness and understanding of Type 1 Diabetes whilst navigating the condition himself since the age of four.

Words fail us on how proud we are of Lochlan and an event such as this was the icing on the cake.

Meeting 'weel kent faces' from Scotland and sharing the stage with the other outstanding winners is something that will live long in our memories.

Thank you to Sky Sports presenter Eilidh Barbour and former Kilmarnock, now Celtic and Scotland player Greg Taylor for presenting Lochlan with his award and to Liverpool and Scotland Captain Andy Robertson for taking the time to send Lochlan a video of congratulations-this made his year!

Tissues at the ready, it is incredible.

Thank you to Pride of Scotland for choosing Lochlan and for the incredible support, encouragement and the most fantastic experience. It was beyond our wildest dreams.

Congratulation to all winners and thank you for being the wonderful humans and animals that you are. Very proud, as always, to be Scottish.

Massive thank you to McCallum Bagpipes LTD in Kilmarnock for providing Lochlan with his full Highland wear for the evening. I am sure you will agree he looks very smart in the Kilmarnock Tartan.
