What a truly special evening for everyone. Lochlan, Lesley and Trustee Lorna attended the Kilmarnock F.C. https://kilmarnockfc.co.uk/Player of the Year and Hall of Fame Inductees Awards. We are always incredibly honoured to be invited along to celebrate our wonderful club, its players, supporters and the people who make such a difference within the community. Nights like this remind us exactly why football means so much to so many people.
The smiles truly said it all.
One of the highlights of the evening was seeing our ambassador Bruce Anderson celebrated amongst his teammates and supporters. Bruce continues to show young people living with Type 1 Diabetes that T1D doesn’t stop you from achieving your dreams, competing at the highest level, and inspiring others along the way.
The evening was made even more emotional and memorable with two very special moments for our family and community.
A huge congratulations to “Uncle” Lenny on receiving the Community Hero Award — so incredibly deserved and a reflection of the difference he continues to make to so many lives.
And in a moment filled with pride and emotion, Lesley’s dad, Brien McIlroy, was inducted into the Hall of Fame. A fantastic recognition of his contribution and legacy within the club.
A massive congratulations also to Kevin McNeill on your well-deserved award.Thank you to Robert Dykes for fabulous hosting, Scott Watson for a brilliant performance, and to The Park Hotel for excellent service as always.
And finally… Gregg McEwan — you are a star.
These moments are about more than football. They are about community, connection, inspiration and showing young people that no matter what challenges they face, they can still belong, succeed and shine.
Let’s finish the season strong…
Come on Killie 💙🤍
